These babouches (34) are made in leather by skilled shoemakers in Marrakech, Morocco.
They make very comfortable slippers but can also be worn outside due to their hard leather sole. They are decorated with embroidered medallions. These shoes will be suitable for a person with wide feet.
Unfortunately the art of shoe-making in Morocco seems to be fading out. The markets are being flooded by cheap Chinese imports. Metroscope is pleased to support this tradition of shoe-making which is passed down from father to son. To see how shoes are made in Morocco, watch this video of a shoe maker in Taroudant.
This style/colour are available in a size 11 only. Please note sizes are approximate.
