This wool rug was made in a women’s cooperative near Tazenakht in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. The weaving skills are passed down from mother to daughter. The style of rug is called Glaoui and utilises a combination of techniques – flat weave, embroidery and knots. One end of the rug is fringed while the other has woven warp threads.
This beautiful rug is stunning as a wall hanging or can be used on the floor. It measures measures 161 x 145cms.
