This beautiful decorative dagger was handmade in the south of Morocco. The Berbers of Azlag have been producing these handcrafted daggers for over 700 years. The craft is vital to the local economy, providing a livelihood for over 70 artisans and their families.
The scabbard is made from an embossed silver metal. It has 2 rings on each side so that a woolen baldric can be attached and the dagger can be worn slung across the torso. The handle is made from camel bone with applied silver metal ornamentation. The double-edged blade is made from steel.
The entire dagger measures 26cm, the blade – 18.5cm.
