Nassij luggage tag
The Nassij luggage tag is from the fabulous Images d’Orient collection. Peggy Raphael Dabar designed this collection in Lebanon. Peggy and her brother, Charbel, realised that designing items that endorsed the richness of their heritage was a dream they had to achieve. In 2000 they founded their company and they created a line of day to day objects that combined the charm of their Mediterranean heritage with a contemporary look.
The design of this luggage tag is inspired by carpet weaving. Carpet weaving (or nassij) is considered to be among the oldest professions in history (4400BC). Its roots come from basket making. As soon as weaving was discovered, crossing different threads created striking patterns leading to an extensive oriental trade between the Mediterranean world, China and the Indian continent through a network of roads and trails. This trade led to a blend of cultures, religions and foods.
The luggage tag measures 10 x 6.5 cm. It is handmade from high quality silicone. The tag has a privacy shield, so that your name and contact details are not readily view-able by all and sundry.
The tag comes packed in a plastic pouch and makes a stylish and inexpensive gift for a man or woman.
Care instructions: Should the tag become dirty, just take out the contents (the address pages) and wash in warm soapy water. Allow to dry before putting it back together again.
Use this stylish and colourful luggage tag to identify and claim your baggage.
