Metroscope November 2007 Newsletter

We are really pleased to advise that our latest shipment is finally here! It’s been a long and frustrating wait of many months.

We’re sure you’ll be delighted with the great lanterns, tagines, plates and bowls, tea glasses, teapots, mirrors and tables that we selected in Morocco earlier this year.

Some of our new wares will be great, reasonably-priced Christmas presents. There are lots of tea glasses – different sizes, colours and designs. And to complement them, there are silver teapots and a small range of ‘mustafas’.

For those of you who are into cooking, we have lots of cooking tagines (tagine slaoui) as well as beautiful hand-painted serving tagines in different colours, designs and sizes. If you haven’t tried Moroccan cooking, we have a newish section on the website with tasty recipes which we’ll add to each month. We also sell preserved lemons from Tunisia – excellent quality and cheap!

New to Metroscope are a range of ceramics from Safi. In the range are platters and bowls of different sizes, colours and designs. These are all hand made by artisans under the supervision of a master ceramicist.

Our new wares contain a whole new range of exotic lanterns – different designs, colours, small to large.  Some are all metal while others are a combination of glass and metal. We also have some new mirrors with wooden frames and others with wrought iron frames.

And now that summer is here, it’s the perfect time to buy a new outdoor table and chairs. In stock are lots of mosaic tables (zellige tables) – new colours, designs and shapes and some more delightful hand-painted Berber wooden tables.

We’ll be adding photos of our new stock to the website over the next few weeks, but why not come and pay us a visit and see for yourself. We’re open Saturdays and Sundays over summer or at other times by appointment.

We’d like to say a special thanks to those of our customers who have waited patiently for our stock to arrive. Many, many thanks also to our customs agents, International Concept Forwarding, and the Australian Customs Service for processing our container quickly once it arrived in Melbourne.

We look forwarding to see you and showing you our gorgeous new Moroccan goodies in the very new future.
